....Indiana, where the National Basketball Association was founded,
Fred Zollner did that at his kitchen table, and the league is solidly grounded,
and this is where Wilt the Stilt had his 3000 point season,
if you want to visit here, you won't need another reason.
This is also the city of Johnny Appleseed's Festival,
he's here in Fort Wayne, sort of, for his funeral,
there's are park near this site where he is buried,
they honor him - for all those seeds he carried.
NOTE: Yesterday it should read (home of the first AUTOMATED traffic light

Carmel...
....Indiana, had the worlds first automated traffic light,
that was 1924, and they still do things right.
A suburb of Indianapolis, but stands on it's own,
a great small city that has slightly grown.
It's the first place that I've ever seen,
where art and design were king and queen;
more towns should try this, something unique,
if they want to, they could come take a peek.

Bloomfield...
.....Indiana, a railroad and agricultural town,
just trying to get along, and nothing gets them down;
providing school for the county is the general rule,
all over Indiana towns like Bloomfield are a valuable tool.
There is a parade here, in November every year,
it's all about the apples, abundant right here;
and the Tulip Viaduct serves trains when they roll by,
built over the valley, a bridge in the sky.

Jasper.....
...Indiana, A German Heritage town,
it's known for art and Strassenfest, it won't let you down,
the celebrations wind up on Sundays, but before it passes,
they celebrate in three churches with Polka Masses.
Jasper is also the county seat,
home of a company that packs meat,
it a busy place for twelve thousand souls,
and don't forget the trains that into French Lick rolls.
Top: The golf course, notice the "waterfall" in the shadows, it's real.
Middle: Downtown
Bottom: Train station, trains to French Lick (home of Larry Bird)
