home of a famous fair, and an academy of knowledge;
used to be known as Pequawet, back in the olden days,
that means 'crooked city', ahhh. see through the haze.
There's a big bend in the Saco River here as well,
and it's a well loved place, by all who come to dwell;
"are you going to Fryeburg Fair" is a popular refrain,
it is heard loud and clear, everywhere in Maine.
