Kingston seen from Fort Henry - click
...Ontario, defender of Lake Ontario in Eighteen-twelve;
the British fortified the City, sort of a safety valve;
the American Fleet stood ready just across the way,
now there is one fort and four towers, seen every day.

The was an industrial place, heavy industry it was,
mostly gone now, a "rust belt", you already know the cause;
now a center of banking and other service stuff,
but it's value in history, is really quite enough.
